Specialty Finishes is SSPC QP-3 certified.

We have multiple systems in place that enable us to ensure every part meets your level of specification. We will perform any and all visual and technical inspections, and provide any documentation and certificates of conformance that you and your customer requires.

We've created cosmetic quality assurance definitions, expectations, and protocol to ensure quality requirements are met:

Class A: Top Quality, Virtually Flawless

These parts have color and quality attributes that are highly visible to the end user. No immediately observable flaws or blemishes exist beyond 18” viewing perspective. Industries in this class include aerospace, medical, dental, high tech, and consumer goods.

Class B: Moderate Quality, Minor Imperfections

Parts are not in direct view of the consumer. Defects from coating manufacturing features may exist (weld spots, pems, studs, etc). Touch-ups are acceptable. Industries include military, industrial, marine, and transportation.

Class C: Utilitarian, Cosmetic Appearance Not Imperative

Parts are only viewable during maintenance. Cosmetic appearance is not critical if coating has achieved 100% coverage with specified colors/materials. Industries include structural, vehicle undercarriage, shop racking, and prime coats.
